Post-Event Recap: Fish Keychains with Kaith and Charissa!
We had so much fun at our recent Fish Keychain Craft Night! It was so great to see a strong turnout of members coming together to connect, unwind, and try something a little different during this unpredictable spring weather. It was also great to put some new life in old flyline - as the whole group used recylced fly lines for their creations.

The Calgary Boat and Outdoor Show was a great opportunity for CWFF to connect with the outdoor community and share their passion for fly fishing. Throughout the weekend, club volunteers staffed a booth where they welcomed visitors, answered questions, and shared information about the club’s mission, events, and membership opportunities.

The Calgary Women Fly Fishers kicked off the new year at our January Social on Monday, January 6, with an evening full of connection, laughter, and great food. Members and guests gathered at a cozy community Calgary to enjoy delicious tacos from Tres Maria, along with beer and wine.

March Event Recap: Learning the Anatomy of a Fly Rod with Andrew Mysyk of Temple Fork Outfitters
On March 10th, the Calgary Women Fly Fishers Club had an enlightening evening with Andrew Mysyk from Temple Fork Outfitters during our "Anatomy of a Fly Rod" session. Andrew expertly walked us through the key components of a fly rod, explaining how each part affects casting and fish fighting performance. Whether you’re selecting your first rod or upgrading your gear, this session provided valuable insights into making informed decisions. Fly Tying Night Recap: Learning the Art of Chironomids with Silvia D’Amelio
On Thursday, January 23rd, the Calgary Women Fly Fishers Club had an incredible evening of learning and camaraderie at our Fly Tying Night with Silvia D’Amelio. Silvia not only shared expert fly tying instruction on chironomids but also provided valuable insights on how to fish them effectively. We were especially thrilled to welcome so many novice fly tyers to this event!
