The Calgary Boat and Outdoor Show was a great opportunity for CWFF to connect with the outdoor community and share their passion for fly fishing. Throughout the weekend, club volunteers staffed a booth where they welcomed visitors, answered questions, and shared information about the club’s mission, events, and membership opportunities.
Thank you so much again to all our amazing volunteers who helped make the weekend special. It was great to see how eager CWFF members were to share their love of fly fishing with others. Many attendees stopped by to talk about fishing, ask questions about getting started, and learn about upcoming club events and programs - we will hopefully we seeing some new faces from the show at our upcoming events this year.
The show was also a great opporutinty to connect with other angling communties within our city. Some of our volunteers tied flies with The Hook and Hackle club, we casted different rods with Out Fly Fishing, and chatted with our booth neighbor - the legendary Barry White!
