The morning started off a bit chilly, but spirits were high, and everyone was eager to wade in and start casting. The air was filled with the cheerful sound of women’s voices and laughter, punctuated by an occasional “woo-hoo” whenever a fly had a strike.
At lunchtime, we joined the Hook and Hackle for their hotdog feast—a huge thank you to them for recharging our energy for a second attempt at netting a pike.
Then the clouds cleared and the afternoon unfolded under beautiful sunshine, bringing success for a few lucky anglers. All in all, it was a fantastic season opener, leaving everyone excited for a summer full of camping, fishing, and unforgettable memories!
